The Refuge - Antigo

This place is awesome. Had the 2nd best Prime I ever had

It was okay. It was clean. The food came out very slowly, and it just wasn't good. The French onion soup was very salty and poorly made. It was a lackluster eating experience. Our waitress was incredibly absent throughout the meal.

Waited for 46 mins for a table when there was atleast 6 open. Was also told it would be approximately 15min wait. Several other walked out before us.

This is a hit or miss establishment. Atmosphere is always great and staff is very friendly and always willing to help. When I go to Texas Roadhouse I know what my steak is going to taste like, here it has tasted different each time I have gotten it. Not bad, but very inconsistent.

We have been going to Refuge for a long time and enjoy their fish frys, salads and pastas. Their waitstaff is also very friendly. Last night we held a party for over 50 people in the bar with appetizers and drinks. I must say I am blown away on how it turned out. The food was great but the service was the best! Jolene worked very hard to make everything perfect for us. And Dave (the owner) was so helpful and so appreciative of the business. Antigo is fortunate to have some wonderful places to eat. Refuge is truly one of the best!
