Anstruther Fish

I can't say if it's the best fish and chips in Scotland, but it was definitely my favorite among all the places I've tried (and I've tried quite a few). The portion size is generous for the price, the fish is obviously fresh, and the tempura batter is fantastic—not greasy at all. The homemade fries are absolutely delicious. I also sampled their tartar sauce, which was excellent. The service here is both friendly and efficient. I give it a perfect 10/10. If the weather is nice, I highly recommend enjoying your meal on the benches outside with a view of the sea—it's quite an experience.
