Bidrage med feedbackThis is an old favourite (in the Bella Tola Hotel), but it seems to have acquired a new chef since my last visit. The result was that we had a really wonderful meal imaginative, well balanced and superbly cooked. I can particularly recommend the creme brulee with foie gras.
Even if you are staying at the Hotel Bella Tola you Are strongly advised to book a table for dinner (if you would like to eat there) in the restaurant because the place is very popular, especially at weekends. You have the choice of the a la carte and the set dinner menu, the set menu giving you three options, one vegetarian, for each course. The wine list is a bit complicated, it includes a huge write up for every single wine, which is brilliant if you want to read up on the wines, but a bit of a phaff when you would like to make a choice after having sat down for your meal. This is where The owners come into a league of their own, her recommendations were fantastic! He is also a very accomplished sommelier, but she certainly had the edge on him when we were enjoying two wonderful evenings at the lovely Veranda. We would also like to make a point about the incredibly professional, attentive and friendly staff!
The hotel is very dignified and has a great ambience. We were very positively surprised at how good the kitchen is. The saddle of venison is as tender as butter, the side dishes are very selected and delicate and the sauces served with it are a dream. The beef fillet was also good and the pheasant was presented in a very original way in a bed of puff pastry. I haven't eaten so well in a very long time.
Correct, but nothing more, the service is slow, the food is good, but not to the level of pretentiousness of the staff. Among other things, we ordered medallions of cooked blue venison, they were served to us almost perfectly, the sommelier's response was that we don't complain in this type of establishment. In addition, when paying the bill (almost 900 francs for 6 people) a bottle of wine at 79 francs, we were overcharged, answer the error is human. Wow.
Wir haben bereits zweimal bei Chez Ida gegessen. Egal ob à la carte oder Tagesmenue, wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Gehobene Küche mit einem guten Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis.
