Brasserie Alsacienne La Table Gourmande

Happy to find a table without reservation on a Sat evening.Friendly greeting

I was expecting lots of this restaurant but our visit was a bit disappointing. I ordered scallops and risotto, my husband cod fish, my elder daughter, pasta with vegetables (she is vegetarian) and the younger, perches fillets with French fries. The cod was perfectly cooked as well as my scallops. The problem was the side dishes: my risotto was soggy, not freshly prepared, his veggies were bland. Same with my daughter's pasta: overcooked veggies and pasta. The Percy's were delicious though and so were the fries. Pass the deserts. I will come back for the choucroute de la mer and for the oysters

Typical French Brasserie, with a modern touch (food and decor), right in the middle of Annemasse opposite the Town Hall. We had oysters, and tartares (crab avocado and beef) everything was perfect and served with a smile. A good place to have a bite before or after shopping.

Was at the Brasserie around 1:45 pm on a weekday and they were about to close but when we, a friend and my daughter with her baby, checked in they were very friendly and said only the "plat du jour" and steak were available. The plat du jour was a bit expensive 32 euros and we also ordered the choucroute royale which was available. I must say, the filet de perche were good but a bit greasy but the fries that came with it were delicious. Now, if you crave for choucroute, this is the place to go. The portions were huge and had we known, we would have shared one portion cause we were able to get a doggy bag for the leftover and had it for another meal for 3 servings. Prices were ok compared to the Geneva area. Staff were very friendly and didn't stress us as they were closed for the afternoon. We took our time for lunch. The place has seatings on the first floor as well and is available for private parties. I would definitely go back to try there oysters and other dishes.

The restaurant looks much better on the inside, ver nice in fact.The service is good and friendly and fast. The food was good, in fact very good.The fish, perch from the lake, was good, and the seafood choucroute impressive.The portions large, so no room for desserts .Definitely worth a visit!
