Bidrage med feedbackI ordered the group bulgogi option after seeing a different group order that fed 3. Turns out the $26 group bulgogi order was just a single individual platter. It was also rather greasy and despite the false advertising on portion size, I couldn't stomach finishing it. Side dishes were fine, but I do wonder how a Korean restaurant can exist in DC serving butchered bulgogi and then misleading customers about portion size.
Hoping this restaurant doesn't transform into an Americanized Korean place which is what seems to be happening to all the other Korean BBQ places. For now, it's as authentic as it gets and it's now my first choice when I prefer not to deal with Yechon.
I went to go try their cold broth noodles. When I told my server I was only getting the one dish with makgeolli, she scoffed at me. For the rest of the evening she pushed for a check and for me to leave. I left a tip regardless but felt bullied. If you're Korean, you might have a better experience, I've heard good things about the food. But for me, I felt terrible.
Horrible. Naengmyun and Godeunguh Jjim were way too sweet. Banchan was lackluster. Kimchi Jeon was crispy and tasted alright. Staff is nice. It?s sticky and humid inside as well. Am shocked to see other Koreans frequenting the place. We definitely won?t be back.
I like their Korean dishes and especially love their cold noodles! I've only had KBBQ once here which I recall I also enjoyed, but because they require minimum of 2 orders I don't get that as often. Look forward to trying out more dishes here!
