Metzger's - Ann Arbor

My wife and I traveled very far to involve in all Austria and Germany and are always looking for good German food, and our meal in the German restaurant metzger was excellent! we had schinitzel, late zle, Bavarian red cabbage, sour herb and a warsteiner light pilsner to complete the German experience. see the mud-watering photos included in my contribution. we also loved metzgers decoration. this is a culinary experience that we hope to repeat every time we visit the area ann harbor.

Eating was fantastic kartoffel pancakes, kohlrolle, noodles on appetizer menu, we sat at the bar, jennifer was our server, very professional, courteous, hostess was awesome, let us feel Ohio native very welcome!

Seated by the owner and served by an experienced employee, we enjoyed several different dishes of traditional German foods and some unexpected options. Our friends remembered the French onion soup from another visit and said it lived up to their memory of it as the best they have had. I tried the salmon and it was perfectly prepared. The cucumber and beet side dishes were a fresh option. My husband requested his German potato salad heated, and I ended up eating more than just a sample bite of it, as it was delicious!

Unbelievable. The food was utterly amazing. Schnitzel was tender and moist. Rouladin literally fell apart in your mouth. Seating was quick. Server was attentive and friendly. Great place!

Food was different than what we were used to but we were passing through Ann Arbor and decided to stop. Our server, Carl, was helpful in guiding us on our decisions. The food was good.
