Magee's Irish Pub Eatery - Ankeny

Magee's Irish Pub is amazing! We held our wedding rehearsal dinner in the King's Room and had a perfect experience. First, the King's Room was BEAUTIFUL. Next, the food was great, and not only that but Andy and the entire wait staff was amazing as well. They had everything organized with all of the people who ordered different meals and made the entire process so smooth. I would highly recommend eating at this restaurant when you are in the District Prairie area, you can't go wrong!

Came for brunch, got the Yorkshire scotch eggs and they came hard boiled, and all the pictures show them being soft boiled. Shepard pie was delicious, the ploughmans scramble was like a breakfast stew… I understand some moisture but I couldn’t eat any of it. another person in our group got French toast and it came out raw and soggy, not once, but twice. Lunch is probably better here definitely avoid the breakfast. Also the bacon was like jerky.

First time here and I can't wait to return. I ordered a bowl of Irish Stew, made with tender filet, lamb, and vegetables topped with mashed potatoes and served with beer bread. It was delicious! Our server was delightful. Overall a great lunch!

Still the best! The service is amazing. Our server CJ was the best. Hubbs had the fish and chips and I had the grilled cheese with Granny Smith apples, was like a Monte Cristo but for Vegetarians. For dessert we had the caramel apple and shared it.

Best Irish food ever and very authentic! Service was wonderful too! Oz is the best server we've had in a long time!!!
