Bidrage med feedbackVisited for lunch and to hang out a few drinks a couple of weeks back. Jeetu is a lovely guy and the food was very yummy. Mainly it's just a quiet haven away from the all the noise. The restaurant was calm relaxing and had a really pleasant time there! Must visit....
I visited this hidden gem two days ago. It has a really good atmosphere, right in front of the Chapora jetty, the fishing boats and of course the water. Food was good, especially the prawns and the calamaris. Prices are good too. But what made my experience so special (to the point of going back the next evening was the warm welcome and beautiful smile I received from the owner. He is especially talented at creating cocktails and I think he made me the best cocktails of my life! One can certainly appreciate that while on vacation! I wish I could go back. Thank you very much :
I was staying close by so watched it being set up. It got off with a bang but there were a few teething problems at first. The big thing in their favour is that they accepted some things were not right then immediately took steps to correct them. After about four or five weeks it settled down and was consistently very good. I went there practically every day. The food is a good average Goa standard and price and the location looking across the river is wonderful. You will not be disappointed. I cannot wait to get back there in November and I am sure if you visit you will feel the same Mike from Wales in U.K.
We visited this restaurant about a week ago on the recommendation of a friend. It is bang on the Chapora Jetty and is a lovely place to spend an evening. It is a sort of spin off of a Tapas bar. It was a quiet night when we visited which made the ambience even better. The service was excellent. Food was also very good and reasonable rates. We tried the fish fingers, jungle potatoes and the prawn au gratin. All three dishes were tasty. The manager Kenny is also very helpful with suggestions and makes sure the guests are properly looked after. The place has recently been renovated so it is looking really nice. Looking forward to our next visit.
The Marine Bay tapas bar is a recently opened restaurant on the Capora Jetty road. It is beautifully situated near the river and only a few yards from the jetty where the fishing boats bring their catch. This is a lovely setting on a sunny afternoon to have a drink with friends and enjoy the variety of tapas as they are brought to the table one by one. These are not Spanish tapas but are made from the local ingredients and are very tasty. In addition to the food and bar there are a few rooms available for rent. It would make a pleasant overnight stay.
