O Careca - Angra do Heroísmo

Me and my girlfriend grabbed a kebab here after a long day of touring the island. We didn’t feel like going to a restaurant so walked up from our hotel (stayed at Carocol) and this was closer than going into town. Was SUPER impressed with the chicken kebab. Best I ever had. The chicken was cooked to crispy and it had a nice crunch in the wrap.

On the recommendation of our server, I opted for the octopus over the tuna dinner. A good choice tasty and accompanied by a super sweet potato and salad. My wife had the steak special, and we shared a bit. The steak was ok, but not as good as the octopus. Table service on the outdoor patio was sketchy once we were served. The sparking sangria was excellent.

Fresh and delicious the meat is perfectly cooked and tender. You can get it in a tortilla so it's easy to grab and walk with. Friendly service. They do not open till 8pm but worth waiting for.
