Pho Lena Express - Anchorage

I found the Pho to be lacking in both substance and flavor. The pepper steak was overwhelmingly flavored with paprika and hardly contained any steak. The egg rolls were small, overpriced, and tasteless. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant at all. I think I'll stick with PhoNatik for my Pho cravings in the future; they’ve never let me down.

Amazing food. This place is thrown away in the Northway Mall (which is quite creepy and empty nowadays), but it is worth the trip. The food comes hot and fast and is delicious. If you don't mind wandering through what looks like a post-apocalyptic shopping mall, this place will not disappoint you.

Pad thai was fine, but they gave me the wrong noodles and curry was over boiled and soggy and they never gave me a spoon as I asked so now I try to eat my curry soup with chiffeln: rather disappointed.... also very little meat in my curry as described others. Absolutely not recommend.

This was my first and definitely my last order from this place! When I called to place my order, the person who took it was quite rude. He even questioned my choice of having roast duck with sticky rice, insisting that it’s normally served with white or brown rice. Why does it matter what kind of rice I want? I also ordered a small bowl of pho, and to my surprise, I found more onions in the broth than actual meat! They gave me just half a meatball and two small pieces of meat—seriously?! The food had a strange taste, and the customer service was terrible. I’d be better off driving to my usual spot, Pho Vietnam! They can’t even get a simple order right, and they didn’t even deserve the 10 cents I spent. Never again! Avoid NORTH WAY MALL PHO LENA at all costs!

I have to say, I am really disappointed with the amount of meat in the pho combination I ordered yesterday. When I got home and heated it up, I initially thought it was just soup broth because all the meat was at the bottom of the bowl. There were only eight tiny pieces of meat! The laab I ordered was also underwhelming and barely enough to satisfy. To think I even left a tip for them... I will not be returning to this restaurant. They really need to ensure there's a sufficient amount of meat in each order if they want to keep customers happy and encourage positive reviews. If I could have given zero stars, I would have. This was a true disappointment. Save your money and go to another pho restaurant where you can get your money's worth—plenty of good food! Not here!
