Bidrage med feedbackHad been contemplating to visit Ziya for a long time and now that it had a new address I finally went and was pretty happy with the food. The place is more spacious and lively but the furniture is very basic and not of a standard of a fine European restaurant if that is what you want to portray. So a minus for that. But they more than make up for it with their food. Very rarely have I got good quality European dishes and also a big menu of them in Guwahati. What I had:-Jamaican Jerk Chicken Steak : very well done. The meat was juicy and the sauce was brilliantly flavorful. The sides of veggies were also taken care of during the cook.-Chicken Stroganoff : though the first portion they got our was not too great,I sent it back and the next place was pretty good. Succulent chicken in a good gravy with lots of mushrooms and served with a decent portion of herbed rice.-Tiramisu : not bad but have had better-Carrot Cake : the taste was on point but I had a feeling that it was not fresh as the butter cream did not taste right. I am sure ,if fresher it would be betterThe service was decent enough and I didn't mind paying the prices of a fine dine restaurant as I was happy that I got to eat some of my favorite dishes in this city
The initial impression of this restaurant was not great, with typos on the sign, unimpressive decor, and service staff. However, after looking at the menu, we were pleasantly surprised. We made our order quickly and were pleased with the potato and bacon dish.
Upon entering, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I left feeling very satisfied. The food was good, the service was quick, and the prices were reasonable.
I visited the restaurant based on strong recommendations from friends. While the decor and ambience were nothing special, the place had its own unique character. The food was excellent, especially the Chicken meatloaf and pork curlies we tried, among other dishes - all of which were fabulous. I will definitely be returning. The owner, Mr. M Phukan, was personally in the kitchen and was an interesting individual who shared about new menu items he plans to add. I highly recommend this place for continental cuisine.
A must visit place for people looking for European- uncommon yet not easily available food at this returent. 100 out of 100 to ziya....for offering excellent food
