I particularly enjoyed the sweet onions paired with the mushrooms—absolutely delicious! For the main course, I had the Steak and Frites. The steak was juicy, but it was a bit too thick, making it somewhat tough to chew, and it could have used a bit more seasoning. However, the chimichurri sauce really enhanced the flavor. It was impossible to have lunch here without ordering a beer, so I went for a beer flight to complement my meal. As usual, all the beers were perfectly cold, just as I’ve come to expect during my visits. Our server, Monique, was fantastic—very welcoming and attentive, ensuring our plates arrived quickly and checking in to see if we needed anything without us having to ask. This was my first time having a meal here, and after my experiences with drinks, I will undoubtedly return. I think I’ll stick to ordering finger foods in the future, but I will definitely be back for that delicious flatbread. It's the perfect snack to enjoy with an ice-cold brew or cocktail. My visit date was 8/6/2016.
Catalane offers a delightful oasis amid the sea of standardized children's food often found in Disney. The Mediterranean flavors are spot on. Our favorite dish was the lamb cavatelli, but it has since been removed from the menu—strangely, this turned out to be a blessing, as it led us to try the suckling pig and scallops, both of which were absolutely delicious. The service is impeccable, and if your child is a foodie like ours, you’ll appreciate that the children’s menu doesn’t compromise on taste or quality.
Overall, my experience was positive, but I would advise against ordering the overpriced salad. I'm not sure if this is typical in the US, but how can an arugula salad cost the same as a steak? That's ridiculous! You could probably find it cheaper at Costco. Aside from that, I enjoyed the steak I ordered, which was much more reasonably priced compared to what I'd pay in Canada. The restaurant was quite busy, but it was lovely to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. I would definitely return, but I recommend skipping the salad—there are plenty of other affordable options for getting your fiber!
The Entire family flew down from Lake Oswego, Oregon... The family consisting of 13 of us had a sit down dinner in the upstairs main restaurant for a very special 21st birthday bash for our Neice! But to start the party off... Service at the very nice outside UVA BAR prior to dinner in the center of Downtown Disney (can 't miss it) was great. In the main upstairs restaurant... Again, we were a big table of 13, and the park was hopping... the service was actually very good... But (as expected) pretty darn slow. I had the pork... Which I do recommend... It had some flavor and cooked pretty well... So I was happy. A lot of the family had their (signature Dish)... chicken Paella... The chicken was way over cooked and very bland. So we have mixed feeling about the place and if the food was better, I would have given it a 4 But On a positive note... must say this restaurant is more for adults than little kids (like rainforest cafe)... So cutting to the chase... If you are Disneyland battle worn and tired of screaming kids in strollers that cost more than my first car... This is where I would go to let my hair down... Actually, I may never make it past the UVA bar and rock n roll with the best of them. ENJOY MORRY
Exquisite pancakes, fresh berries, oatmeal and bacon. Zero complaints from five picky eaters. Yum. We'll be back.
