Tru Grits American Fusion - Anaheim

I checked the menu online and found some appealing options in the $10-$15 range. However, when I arrived, I was presented with a different menu where everything was priced at $20. Since we were already there, we decided to order anyway. I chose the pasta, but it was overcooked and mushy. The chicken seemed to have been previously frozen and microwaved. Honestly, even a $1 meal from a budget kitchen would have been better.

This hotel offers what might be the best simple breakfast buffet I've ever experienced. The egg with onion and pepper served on a tortilla was outstanding. The bacon was easily the best I’ve had at any buffet. Great job, Tru Grits!

I was really disappointed with my experience. I inquired about a gluten-free option and chose their rice dish with steamed vegetables, adding shrimp for protein. Unfortunately, the shrimp weren’t deveined, and the portion was overwhelming—there was a pound of rice accompanied by only ten tiny, mushy pieces of carrot, broccoli, cauliflower, and summer squash. My friend ordered a Cobb salad with chicken, but they forgot to include the chicken and only brought it out 20 minutes later. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place.

Worst! The Tru Grit Chicken Cob Salad ordered. Cam without chicken... Apparently no one knew, including the waiter, that it came with chicken! Did I mention that my friend and I were the only ones in the restaurant? Anyway, at the time when I was finished with my ugly salad (Wafer asked to cook as it was on the menu) I still did not get the CHICKEN. If you are tired, hungry and have traveled a good part of the day, it would also knock you off! PS Let me not even start on my friends gluten-free option!!! But I'll let you know.

Manager was very accomodating for our children. We were given free food coupons for 2 adults only, but when the manager saw we had to children he told us not to worry and gave us 2 complimentary mealss for our children as well! Food is excellent. Outstanding servers too!
