New York Pizza Amsterdam

This place has good food and Service and the Ambiance is great everyday all of the time

My husband and I tried this place for the first time last night. We ordered the mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. They were so good. The marinara sauce was very good. Chunks of tomato in it. I ordered the Chicken Aristocrat and my husband had the Veal Parmigiana. Both were very good! Also, the fresh bread with olive oil is great! My husband doesn't eat a lot of bread but he gobbled it up! Also, salads came with dressing on the side, which is what I prefer. The waiter was very attentive and nice. Always checking to make sure everything was good and if we needed anything. Only drawback, in my opinion, is the waiter doesn't cash you out. This causes congestion at the front door because the register is right behind the greeter stand. All in all, we will be returning to this place to try some different items!

I have been ordering for NY Pasta pizza for the last 3 years... since we moved into the area... always wonderful service when dining in! But I did have a huge issue for take out. On Sundays, my husband I order meals for Sunday Monday... Monday 's are crazy for us since we are Contractors... so this is our Monday dinner! But the last 4 Sundays our meals have been smashed together. Sooooo not tasty when we open them home. Finally... fourth time.... I called to complain and told them I was bringing the meals so they could see how they were packed up. Upon entering the manager, Mr. Gavin, greeted me. I went in to throw my wrath ... considering: 1. I had three kiddos waiting for food at home! 2. They don 't deliver to my home because I 'm too far. So... 3. I had to run out there in sweat pants and a t-shirt. Not my best look! However... I was instantaneously relaxed when Mr. Gavin, the manager, told me he would take cat out it.... He was so very nice and accommodating that I was not able to fully throw my wrath on him. Mr. Gavin resolved my issue told me how to order next time... so I did not have the smashing issue . I really appreciated the customer service. NY Pasta and Pizza corporate should most definitely be proud!! In our small town of Vidor, that is EXACTLY what I expect... I got it! Thank you! Mr. Gavin you did so great I hope the management tells you so... knowing myself, I could have been your nightmare... but you approached me and brought down my animosity so well. Not many people can say the same. Lots of luck in the future. NY Pasta and Pizza will continue to get the spaghetti with meatballs fettuccine alfredo... along with 2 more meals /or pizzas on Sundays... BTW I always order extra sauce!!! Happy holidays!
