Café De Gaeper - Amsterdam

This place is a hidden gem in amsterdam and should stay like that. I found it from thorough online search and it was beyond my expectations. I ordered the steak and it was a big part with fries and salat. the mood is so cozy and it has a charm that I cannot explain. very romantic. the person who served us took care of the bar and the service. he is one of the sweetest people in amsterdam and has done his best to give us a great first experience in their bar. I'll be back in a definitiw!

A friend of mine recommend cafe de gaeper and my first impression was excellent. there was bartender/owner dennis an excellent person, not only was he personal, but was very much about eating and drinking, which is by the way excellent, but he is also knowledgeable of the area history. I would highly recommend to come here for anyone looking for a picturesque little restaurant in a really big party of the city.

Café De Gaeper heeft een authentieke sfeer. Het is een bruin café waar ik me altijd op mijn gemak voel en waar Dennis een geweldige gastheer is.

Altijd gezellig en regelmatig dronken naar huis (bedankt Dennis ;). Geweldige sfeer, topbarman, kortom: topkroeg! Oh ja, en ook de kaasstengels zijn heerlijk!
