Bidrage med feedbackGot Bun Bo Nuong #452) to-go. Solid amount of meat, spring roll, veggies, and vermicelli. The fish sauce wasn't spicy enough, but I forgot to ask for sriracha : I originally wanted to dine in but they didn't have any available tables, and the waiter I spoke with wasn't too friendly. Many Asian restaurants in the area due to Chinese tourists/conventions. Overall, I'd stop in again and am interested in their banh mi sandwiches.
This is just an okay place for me. I had lotus salad with shrimp and my lunch date had chicken bahn mi. During the lunch we agreed to go to Vietnam to become Vietnamese food snobs. I saw a lot of pho on the tables near me, but my dinner steak plans made me choose wisely and I opted out for the salad. A lot of cucumbers, lotus root, carrots and pan fried shrimp was a good light lunch me. I tasted the sandwich as well but did not like it. Heavy bread and salty chicken. Not my favorite. Our waiter had a trouble understanding our questions regarding our meal (portion size) It made the ordering process a bit hard. Water was not refilled, while Vietnamese cuisine remains high sodium diet I find it exhausting to consume it, unless I am in salt craving mood.
This is a really good Vietnamese restaurant in town. I tried Pho and Goi Cuon. Love it, although it would be better if there were more type of vegetables... I strongly recommend this restaurant and definitely will come back for more Vietnamese foods.
I think this may be my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Amsterdam. I really enjoyed my time here. The restaurant was huge (two floors), service was great, and the food was good. The have a special lunch menu for an amazing deal, for example, you can get a bowl of pho with a bahn mi on the side for 9.50 euros! Unfortunately, I didn't take advantage of this deal because my cravings were fixed on the Pho Dac Biet (raw [super buttery] beef, brisket, tripe, meatballs served with flat noodles and super delicious broth). My friend and I also ordered the Cha Gio Ga (deep fried chicken springrolls), that were super good. I actually took a bite of it before I took a snap for this Yelp review (oops! sorry, I couldn't control myself). Oh yeah, and the strawberry iced tea...mmmmmmmmm.... Can't wait to come here again. Maybe next time I'll overeat and walk it off inside the mall.
We ate here twice for dinner and once for lunch while staying at a nearby hotel. We highly recommend the duck (or chicken) in caramel sauce. For something different try the gin &tonic with lemongrass. The lunch special is a very good deal.
