I am Italian, I grew up in east coast with lots of Italians, several of my friends own Italian restaurants, I worked at an Italian restaurant, for many years, so I’m pretty hard on Italian restaurants. My beautiful wife and I bought a home in los Cabos, in late 2020, we tried several Italian restaurants, but two nights ago. I had a very joyful and clearly a memorable experience. Our Builder referred us to this restaurant and said it was magnificent, so I checked it out and decided to go. I just walked in, without a reservation, on a Sunday night, at about 7 PM, the restaurant was about half full, before I got through the front door. A very lovely young lady named Jessica, immediately approached me and asked me, with a big smile, and perfect English, if I were dinning alone, and where I would like to sit? I chose the high top counter, with a few stools, overlooking the chef in the kitchen. It’s an open kitchen about 2 feet behind the counter! The head chef and owner is Chris, who is 23, his partner is Jessica who is 33, they are brothers and sisters! Chris and Jessica‘s dad, Mauricio, is the head chef at the Hilton, here in los Cabos, for 17 years. The Cabo Hilton, has seven restaurants, and Mauricio is the head chef, over all seven varieties of restaurants. At age 19, Chris told his dad, I don’t want to be a chef, I want to have my own restaurant, I want to start an Italian restaurant, and therefore, Chris decided to start making pasta, in his house, “home made pasta” .and began to invite friends over and started a mini restaurant in his home then at 21 he started an italin food truck in Cabo San Lucas, and now, just 6 months ago Chris and Jessica opened “Come A Casa” in downtown, San Jose, two blocks from the main square. I’ve been craving a good eggplant dish, but I also wanted to try the pizza, so I ordered a margarita pizza with half arugula, (the arugula looked and tasted like they just picked it six minutes ago! and they happened to have a eggplant special and I ordered that as well. The pizza crust and the dough was excellent and the homemade pizza sauce was all magnificent. The eggplant was out of this world to die for not over cooked. The portion was not this mammoth portion. It did not come with pasta, which, I appreciated! The conversations, learning about Chris and Jessica and Mauricio, and Marissas, wife, was magical, the food was absolutely amazing, everything is made from scratch! Mauricio was off on Sunday from the Hilton head chef job, so he was there, while I was there, and witnessing him, teaching and educating and coaching and pouring into the staff, it was hard for me not to smile. I am at one point teared up, thinking to myself, my dad never did any of that! Clearly, God has his hand on this family and this restaurant!! My experience was a one-of-a-kind experience, I will absolutely go back over and over again I wanna work my way through the whole menu!! I would encourage you to come and enjoy the total first class, personal touch, experience that Chris and Jessica provide!!! Well done Chris and Jessica. Well done!! Michael R.
This place is amazing and what a lot of people don't mention in their reviews is that this is a shipping container food court with a bunch of different restaurants and cocktail bar. Now on to the food, some of the most delicate ravioli I've ever eaten in my life. The pizza was really good as well as the barata salad which came with this homemade loaf of bread which was fabulous. That was probably the best thing. Service: Dine in
This tiny little pizza shop easily makes some of best pizza and pasta in the area. It has become our default restaurant when we don't feel like cooking, or don't know what to eat. They're new location in San Jose is gorgeous and all of their staff are exceptionally kind! Service: Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Relaxed, friendly, al dente pasta, great drinks. Walk over and enjoy. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
