Good food, good prices, friendly service. Michelle is delightful.
When we found out Michelle's was open, we stopped in for brunch after shopping on Mothers Day. It was a little busy and the hostess (Michelle? was harried because she was handling the entire front of the house, juggling duties as cashier, seating, phone orders and takeout. Everybody could see how busy she was and were very polite. They must really be short staffed as their hours are only from 7am -3pm. We were seated at a booth and checked out the menu. They were using paper menus instead of the traditional laminated diner menus for hygienic purposes and easier to update. Even short staffed, the crew kept up their pace and all customers seemed very satisfied. I have been missing diner pancakes for over a year and Michelle's did not disappoint. My Pancakes Deluxe came with 3 fluffy pancakes with plenty of butter syrup and accompanied by 1 egg over EZ, 2 sausage links, 3 slices of bacon and a generous slice of ham. This was a monster breakfast and I did not eat for the rest of the day. My wife had the similar French Toast Deluxe, subbing out the pancakes. I was surprised she polished that off and she didn't eat for the rest of the day either. My brother-in-law made his Chicken Salad Club Triple Decker Sandwich disappear along with a side of Home Fries and a cup of Matzoh Ball soup. All these were at very reasonable prices compared to inflated Queens Diners. I really want to come back and try the entrees for lunch, but it might be a while before Michelle's opens back up for the dinner hours if they can staff back up to pre-CoViD levels. But I'm looking forward to a Hot Open Roast Beef platter the next time we're down this way!
