Worth the drive out to 13th St!! New owners and menu! The food is absolutely amazing along with the service. The servers go out of their way to make you feel comfortable, the margaritas are AMAZING: Highly recommend the frozen cotton candy or blue raspberry!!

The food was amazing definitely brought memories back from my childhood and my husbands father cooking the flavors were just perfect thank you so much for a great first time experience we will definitely be back

Excellent service, above average food. You've been to better Mexican restaurants but you've been to a LOT that are worse.I wouldn't say this is destination dining, but if you're in the area it's a good choice; you'll have a good experience.Based on: Two visits, summer 2022.

Loosen the belt and put on the feed bag. This place is excellent! Highly unlikely you’ll be able to clean your plate. Chicken tortilla soup is to die for, and is a meal in itself. Besides that, I ordered a Steak, chicken, shrimp dish, it began with a “J “ can’t remember the name off the menu. It was fantastic! I’ll definitely stop back when coming thru Ames! Hats off to that chef and owner.
