Bidrage med feedbackI had lunch here today with a friend and my nephew. The food was delicious and the service was superb.
Great food. Owner is the cook and makes everything how you want it with quality ingredients.
The location is strange and reminds me of an old Pizza Hut joint, the inside is basic and simple to the point of bare HOWEVER, the food is tasty (could use more salt for my palate), but you can always add that. The dishes were prepared authentically and without food coloring. We had Malai Kofta, Coconut Rice, Garlic Naan, Eggplant Bharta and Okra Fry. I loved the Okra and the Eggplant sides. The prices were amazing for the sides and the portions were great. I was surprised to find this gem, and will return whenever I am in the area again. The wine wasn't half bad given it was an Indian restaurant either. Historically local Indian restaurants don't have a good alcohol selection. MANGIA!
Haven't had Indian food in quite a while. Reminded how delicious it is! I wont try to spell words that I cant even pronounce, but I had beef tips, eggplant based vegetable dish, and basmati rice, all which were very well done. All dishes are spiced very well! The service was very good, the owner is very nice and cordial, the resturant looked really good, only downside was is was a little warm for me. I didnt see a bike rack, no free wifi, they do cater though, and have a food truck on campus during the work week. Very good!
The owner is really friendly. He 'll most likely stop by your table to say 'hi '! : The atmosphere is nice and private (perfect for a date . My only complaints are that the price is pretty high (min of $10 for a meal and the food was kind of bland compared to what you 'd get in Des Moines. There wasn 't much spice. It works for what is available in Ames though!
