Picante's Chatham - Amenia

We just enjoyed a fantastic meal! We ordered a chimichanga, a veggie burrito, a shrimp dish, and the vegetable molcajete. This was my first time trying molcajete, and it was perfectly seasoned and incredibly delicious. The generous bowl of guacamole served as a great appetizer. I truly hope this restaurant sticks around for a long time. I’ve been missing Destino’s, and Picante is a wonderful alternative. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to come back soon!

We ordered takeout for our daughter's birthday and were disappointed by the portion sizes. The burritos appeared more like tacos and were presented in small side salad containers. The shrimp "burrito" included only two shrimp. Although the portions felt small for the price, the flavor was excellent.

We had a wonderful takeout dinner tonight! My husband had to wait a bit longer than we expected because the new restaurant is really popular, but they kindly offered him complimentary chips and salsa while he waited. We can't wait to go back again soon!

I walked in on their opening day and was excited to see a promising menu, so I decided to sample a few dishes for a review. I ordered guacamole, queso fundido, and steak tampiqueña to-go. Everything was absolutely incredible! The guacamole was prepared fresh at our table and had a chunky, thick texture that was perfectly seasoned. The queso fundido featured jalapeño pieces that added a delightful surprise and tasted fantastic. The steak tampiqueña was tender, well-seasoned, and thoroughly enjoyable. My wife and I are definitely planning to return for a dine-in experience. They mentioned they're still awaiting their liquor license, but hopefully, it will be ready in about a month.
