Bidrage med feedbackThis is yet another authentic Indian restaurant. I didn't originally intend to eat there, but it ended up being a spontaneous decision. It turned out to be a great choice. The prices for the dishes were reasonable. We went during the week so it wasn't too crowded and we had a good experience. The food didn't take too long to arrive. They offer a variety of authentic North Indian dishes, with a focus on Gadhwali cuisine. The name of the restaurant is derived from a berry-like fruit that grows in Northern India (Gadhwal). I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the mood for some Indian cuisine.
Great food, served timely, very friendly host, we have been back a few times now and can see how much effort is put in to starting a new business, well done, would recommend.
Happen to chance on this restaurant driving from Kaikoura to Christchurch. We ordered take away dishes. Prawn vindaloo spiciness medium to hot. Lamb briyani and a plain naan. The vindaloo was tangy and spicy as requested and the prawns were fresh with ample gravy. The plain naan was fluffy. The lamb in the briyani was tender and tasty. The yogurt accompanying it was refreshing. Service was also excellent. A hidden jewel in the town of Amberley
A lovely flavoured meal meat beautiful and tender. Only criticism is the Butter Chicken was quite a sour tomato mix and needed more cream to dilute it a bit, as prepared by all the other Indian Restaurants we have visited. Naan breads were large and cooked perfectly and overall the price was good value. Staff very friendly and toilets very clean. Would highly recommend.
Good communication and service with ordering Take away or delivery
