Ronneburg Shoppe - Amana

Great food, in a fun little German-town area, nice people

The Ronneburg still serves old-school broasted chicken. Excellent. Service is friendly and quick. There are charming photos of the historic community of Amana.

Shared a Reuben sandwich with husband. Short on both meat and kraut. Should have asked for more kraut on side Just ok, not what I expected for a German restaurant.

We met here for a family gathering at lunch. The restaurant had enough space so we didn't feel like we were sitting with our neighbor. It was also good for conversation..not to loud. Plenty of parking available. The staff was all very friendly and attetnive. Our server was very prompt and did a great job with refills and assuring we were doing ok. The food was ok. I loved the sides. The broasted chicken was nothing special and the over baked steak was an extremely small portion for the cost. The ham was good and I was a big fan of the sauerkraut. It is defintiely pricey for what you recceived. We won't likely return but was fine for this trip.

Excellent stop for dinner and highly recommended if in the Amana area. Good side portions on the platter sizes, and refills of their delicious sides (including fries potatoes, Spatzel, green beans with mushroom and ham gravy, coleslaw, and pickled beets are a few examples) are included with the Family style choice. Weiner Schnitzel and Pork Chop were perfectly prepared, and the sweet horseradish jam and apple compote with the chops hit the spot. Highly recommended....
