Las Delicias Ranch Cafeteria - Alva

This is the dirtiest and least appealing restaurant in the area. The staff is quite disrespectful, and the food is handled in a very unsanitary manner. The health department should definitely be notified about this establishment. I will never return and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

It's not a fancy place, but it’s a favorite among local workers, especially truckers. The steam table is filled with Cuban favorites. I tried half of their Cuban dish, and it was delicious!

I visit this restaurant a couple of times a month, and they usually serve fantastic Cuban sandwiches. However, I was somewhat disappointed during my last visit. Firstly, I noticed that my sandwich was put in the microwave, which I don’t remember them doing before. Then, they added mayo, mustard, pickles, and pressed it. Unfortunately, the sandwich was lacking in flavor this time, which was disappointing. I'm hoping this was just an off day for them, as I haven't lost faith in them yet.

I was really excited to try a local cubano and key lime pie after my uncle recommended this place. We decided to order the sandwiches ahead of time since they can take a while to prepare. What I didn’t expect was just how large the sandwiches were; one could easily feed three people, especially with some sides. The meat was a bit thicker than I like, and I thought there could have been more mustard, but we managed to fix that once we got home. While the cubano didn’t make my list of favorites, the rice was delicious, and the key lime pie was probably the best I've ever had. Although I didn’t get to try the oxtail, everyone in my group raved about it. The restaurant was busy when we arrived, but we were seated quickly after choosing our sides. I would definitely recommend this place. If I return, I’ll make sure to try the empanadas and tamales, but I’ll skip the cubano, flan, and rice pudding.

The pork belly was outstanding, and the Cuban sandwich was flavorful. The staff were welcoming, and the service was top-notch.
