Solera Wines, Inc. - Alton

A beautiful little place to stop could be greeted by a doggo, find amazing entertainment, make friends, play with chalk art, and are by a teacher (playful... I believe...) Wine list is on the glass, can also buy the bottle and enjoy it on a hightop table or one of the amazing lower conversation chairs. Mr. Bunbury would best be happy with the location and the fare.

Solera is a great start in your evening in downtown Alton. It is a simple and intimate wine bar with good offers and scientific service. It has become my place to go for a glass of wine before enjoying dinner in one of the nearby restaurants. Solera is strictly a wine bar, but they offer different cheeses and meat to nosh while you enjoy your wine. They also offer desserts so you can finish your evening in downtown Alton with a glass of wine and offers from a local bakery. Solera had to close during the pandemic, but they are completely back and I recommend you to check them.

First of all, every being in this bar and I absolutely love it. My next trip to Alton this bar will definitely be on my list to return. Steve is a fantastic bartender and so knowledgeable.

NOT CLOSED!! What an awesome place! Chill atmosphere, with a great selection of wine. They also have a few craft beers on tap and bottled as well. Warm and inviting atmosphere. It's fancy, but not fancy. Check them out!
