Bidrage med feedbackUpdate: my dog contracted giardia from this park and she is on preventatives…. I saw employees refill bowls without cleaning My boyfriend took me and our doberman on a date here. Unlike others who’ve had issues with vaccination documentation, we were actually let in thankfully, though I do think the amount of documentation and vaccines is a bit much considering you don’t have to have this at public dog parks. Weird how they don’t ask for proof on recent deworming or flea prevention too cause those pose more immediate threats to others dogs, especially worms. While I understand the company has “safety” as top priority, this place also serves alcohol (great combo when you’re supposed to be watching your dogs) and they make it VERY clear all reliability is on the dogs handlers… just like any other dog park, it’s a given if you have an aggressive or unruly dog, don’t bring them out like that. I was told I have to have my dog spayed at 8 months if she were to be let back in… for large breed dogs that’s actually very unhealthy to have them spayed before 2 when their bones and joints havent fully matured unless it’s absolutely necessary or you cannot prevent unwanted pregnancies. I feel like this would be under the same rule of not allowing dogs with behavioral issues or dogs that are sick etc in the sense that if you have a female in heat or an intact male who you can’t keep an eye on well enough, then don’t bring them around other peoples dogs Rather than forcing people to remove their healthy reproductive organs. I understand the fear of unwanted pregnancies, but it’s still excessive especially when it’s made very clear the company itself isn’t reliable for your dog, you are. Only difference between this place and a public park is adults getting drunk and the company worrying about making their money and not being held reliable for anything rather than the actual functionality and good ideas that could be brought to life here. I do also have an issue with the no cash policy. What a horrible idea. Local businesses depend on cash and it’s so important to keep cash alive in our communities. They also do not take vertical IDs even though we are 22, we were told they only serve horizontal IDs….the law says 21 and read the date it’s not hard. Maybe invest in an ID scanner or something. what a waste of money we paid $20 to get in and couldn’t do anything but throw tennis balls and make sure our 6 month old puppy wasn’t getting chased around. It’d be nice if they had some agility equipment or something. That’d make it way more worth it. On top of this, the people just sit around for the most part hardly paying attention to their dogs. My doberman puppy was constantly being chased by this corgi that actually was being very dominant and territorial of this certain area cause it only chased my girl when she somewhat walked near one of the pavilions. the owner barely made any verbal correction to call it off. Dunno if it’s cause my dog was bigger so they think that behavior isn’t a problem, but my girl was being very submissive and polite with this dog and if my dog had the same behavior as this corgi did, I most definitely would have called her off immediately and given her a firm “no.” This dog would not let my dog within 30 feet of its handler and that’s not safe. If it were a large breed doing that you know they’d get kicked out. Also if safety is top priority, maybe make separate places for large and small breeds? That’d reduce a lot of problems I’m sure… Lastly, I did see them refill the water bowls while I was there which is nice, but the past 2 going on 3 with no signs of improvement, my doberman has been sick. The only thing that changed within her day to day was going to this place where she drank the water and played with the tennis balls. So not too happy about that she’s never been sick until the day after going there. Honestly you’d probably have more fun inviting your friends and your dogs over in your own back yard and just drink from home than pay to go here. It’s just astroturf, a couple tables, and alcohol.
Been here twice so far. It gets pretty crowded. 1st time had metal water tubs set up so my dog enjoyed that. They only had one set up 2nd time and it tipped over, no one on staff corrected it. Overall it’s an ok place for dogs to have some fun. The dog supervision could use improvement. It seems like they cut down on staff after 7pm or so, there was only one person trying to run the entire place when I was there. In the summer, this is the time to go, otherwise it’s too hot. I’d feel more comfortable if there were more staff to monitor dogs when there are forty of them, with most owners sitting down and socializing and not really keeping an eye on things.
Great place for the pups and the owners. They always have sports games on and events year round. Dogs are $10 daily pass must have their main 4 shots and be fixed/neutered. They also have year round memberships or quarterly ones. Rarely have food unless food trucks are there and beverages are on the pricey side but a good variety of canned local brews, wines, seltzers and cocktails.
Wonderful place to take your dog and meet up with friends. $10 cover for dogs but humans get in free. Staff are very friendly and the drinks are nice and cold. You are expected to monitor your dogs and pick up after them but most everyone seemed to follow this rule. Overall a great time and our Dog really enjoyed socializing and meeting new friends.
UPDATE: The management staff will respond if you give a bad review but will not talk to you after kicking your dog out without any previous strikes. Proving my point about lacking professionalism. This is a great concept but the entire management team should be fired. Stephen Ochs you deserve better with your vision. Beware. This place seems like it a great place to go with your dog but the staff and management are not capable of delivering the safety and service dog owners deserve. We purchased an annual membership for my dog who was still a puppy/under 2 years old. DO NOT DO THAT. We went a few times a week for less than 2 months and my dog had 1 incident where the other dog was not hurt, scared, traumatized, bleeding nothing other than a scuffle and we were permanently banned from all locations. To make matters worse when trying to speak with management about how they came to this decision no one would call back and discuss what actually happened. No one wanted to address my dog never had a strike, is not an aggressive and they did not want to talk about a plan for how we could ever go back nor did they want to address my dog was a puppy. This business is a hard pass. The management lacks professionalism and leadership. Great idea terrible people in charge.
