Casa Rafael - Almería

I need to start by explaining that we had been on a walking holiday in the Alpujarras and were returning home. After having read reviews on Casa Rafael, we thought that we would stop for a coffee and a tostada. The place was relatively busy with workers but noone actually sitting and eating, so we asked a guy if they were open. He said not really, but he insisted that we stay as they have delicious jamón serrano. He shouted through to the kitchen to make the tostadas, and a girl helped him to make the coffee, all whilst he was cutting the ham and giving strips to our children, whilst we waited for our breakfast. We sat outside and, he was totally correct, delicious ham and tomato tostadas with great coffee. Only once we went in to pay, and thank him for his kindness, did he explain who he was. If this is the way he treats all customers, then I´m certain that any event here would be very special indeed!

Visited this restaurant on the recommendation of friends and certainly wasn’t disappointed. We had menu of the day for €12 and it was very good value with a good choice of starters mains and sweets . Staff were very attentive and service was excellent. Will certainly visit again

Genial...sorprendente...mágico...espectacular...novedoso....organizado...hemos realizado celebraciones de bodas, comuniones, comidas de empresa, reuniones de amigos, y cada vez todo es diferente la cocina es estupenda los platos estudiados, los.cocteles elaborados y muy variados. El.personal superamable y atento. El servicio inmejorable. Están pendientes de todo y la imaginacion esta permanentemente en cada evento. Chapeau....hay que quitarse el sombrero con Casa Rafael. Estamos en la boda de Juan y Rosa, y la comida ha sido muy buena, especialmente la de la cena, pero me gustaría destacar la amabilidad del camarero de nuestra mesa y su buen trato y saber hacer. Estábamos en la mesa 2, felicidades! Muy recomendable!
