Samurai Sushi - Almaty

We have tried couple of sushi's and was not that bad and teryaki with rice and was delicious as well the squid fried rings and tempura shrimps with blue mojito

Despite the fact that the establishment is very good and located in an elite area, the prices are excellent, low and the level of service is very good. The rolls and sushi themselves are very tasty, and the rest of the dishes are also on the level! I recommend visiting this place!

Very satisfied with this place. Big portions and tasty. Never quit hangry. Its possible to order at home or office. Nice personnel, pleasant atmosphere.

I’m still baffled at how this place has a decent rating. The interior and decor alone should have been the give away, we decided to try it anyway. The one server that spoke English was very nice and polite. Most of the wines we wanted were unavailable. (Not surprised as this is typical here). The soups we ordered were mediocre. Now for the sushi: we had a really difficult time finding anything without cream cheese. The nigiri were the size of gold balls with lukewarm, sticky rice and thickly cut fish. It took a minimum of 3 bites to get one down, and we had to chew through the fish. The rolls weren’t any better. We ordered 3 with a variety of styles from raw to cooked. Nothing tasted spoiled, but I can easily say I’ve had better sushi from the refrigerated cases at a gas station. After eating less than half of what we ordered, we gave up and left. This place is a definite no-go! Good thing Dostyk Plaza was so close, we went to eat a proper dinner there.
