The Terrace Bistro - Allerdale

I had a lovely meal at The Bistro in the Trout hotel The menu was so varied it was difficult to decide what to have. I would recommend the mushroom risotto and the pork stroganoff The atmosphere was very relaxed and the service excellent Good value for money.

We always choose this restaurant for both lunch and occasionally dinner. The food is delicious, the staff is attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxing. The lunch specials menu is always intriguing.

I visited with my family on Christmas Eve and we had a fantastic lunch. The food was superb. The service was excellent, nothing seemed too much trouble for the staff. Will certainly be back.

Just because this is part of The Trout Hotel doesn't mean it's any good... Booked and pre-ordered for a family birthday which didn't seem to matter as it took just less than 1 hour for food to be served! Food itself was average at best, very greasy and lacking of flavour and presentation. Overall, disappointed and expected better.

The evening was fab from start to finish. The table setting was great as there was 13 of us. We did preorder but the service of the food was really quick. The girls who served us were smiling and attentive , especially Aimee. Food was lovely from burgers to steaks. Definitely recommend the terrace bistro as a place to eat. It is part of the Trout Hotel. Shazzas party was enjoyed by all and noone was rushing us to leave. To finish off lovely coffee with shortbread yum One mention for waiter Stephen and his infectious laugh
