The Sun Inn - Allerdale

Lynn and Stuart pulled out all the stops for my 'hanging of the boots ' retirement party it was amazing. I will never be able to thank them and the staff enough for a great night and fab buffet. We all enjoyed it immensely. Perfect hospitality.

A fantastic dining experience with incredible service. The Sunday roast was delicious and the cozy pub atmosphere was charming. It's a bonus that they have a menu for dogs as well. I highly recommend this place.

This village pub is simply delightful. The staff were top-notch and the food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. We enjoyed two fantastic meals on back-to-back nights, and our two cockapoos were quite content lounging by the open fire. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

We visited the Sun 3 times during our week long stay down by the lake. The first 2 times we just had drinks, and the final visit we ate too. It’s a lovely little cozy, friendly and inviting place. All of the staff were lovely and made us and the dog feel welcome. The beer was good and the landlord gave us loads of useful info on the surrounding area. The food was great too. Pub food but well done. We had steak pie and lamb shoulder, whilst Burty had some of his own special sausages. I really fancied the sticky toffee pudding but we were both stuffed. All in all a great little place. Definitely worth giving it a go!
