Sun Inn - Allerdale

After receiving recommendations from some people, I decided to give this pub another chance, despite a previously unpleasant meal. Unfortunately, my decision to forgive was not swayed. The staff did not even recognize us and passed by multiple times without taking our order. The menus were in poor condition, with stained and torn laminated paper that had not been cleaned after previous use. On a Sunday, I ordered the roast beef, hoping for a satisfying meal after a day at the lakes. However, the "Roast-Rind" that arrived looked and tasted like dog food. Overhearing unfriendly comments from the staff towards other customers made us uncomfortable about complaining, as their service was far from welcoming. Additionally, a woman behind the bar had her children sitting at a table and was preoccupied with her phone while taking a takeaway order from a nearby kebab shop. Needless to say, neither I nor my friend will be returning.

Havent was able to travel from liverpool to this beautiful part of the country and has missed so much the fantastic eating from the sun inn. I have spoken to friends who live locally and they say nothing has happened in...years his still quite likely to eat the best home cooked for a hearty that they will ever taste. when they are in the seen, they must give them an attempt that they do not regret it. I hope that I will have my Sunday roast very soon can wait!!!

Excellent service, nice eating, large portions friendly staff and beautiful atmosphere would recommend and visit again

Everything I can say is brilliant. eat absolutely beautiful. the people who work here very friendly and attentive. I loved it so much that we're here tomorrow night, as it is valentine. I would recommend not know what they miss if they don't come here.

Friendly staff and lovely and clean. We came with the family, ordered 3 portions of garlic bread for the kids. I thought the waitress might have said you got 8 slices, as we had 24 slices of garlic bread for 3 kids. Also the cream...for puddings was like milk, it soaked in to them and made them stodgy. Other than this, it was a great visit
