Bidrage med feedbackAuthentic Cantonese Restaurant. Everything above average taste with decent price.
Everything is too salty or blended. The quality of food is okay.
Top Island is a Cantonese seafood restaurant offering dim sum, lunch and dinner. I would say they are five stars for their dim sum, about four stars for dinner. Seafood is the main attraction for lunch and dinner. There is a good selection of live fish including Red Rock Cod, lobster and crab. Traditional dishes are served including poultry (squab, goose, duck and chicken), pork and beef. While the lunch and dinner menu is generally good, I'd say the dim sum is the reason to come. The dim sum menu here is fairly extensive. While most of the offerings are traditional and you can find elsewhere, they are well prepared here. There are also a handful of offerings that are unique and kind of a signature to the restaurant. Prices for lunch and dinner are moderate to expensive...particularly with live fish. Expect to spend up to $50 per person. Breakfast is far better with around $20 per person unless you start to add in lunch items as well. Service is polite.
Some of the best Cantonese in LA. King crab was awesome
We were right there when it opened! Got a table for 10 and all the dim sum carts all surrounded us cuz the restaurant was not yet packed.
