Bidrage med feedbackThis, Ladies and Gentlemen, is THE place in Spain (I'm being modest! for paella! A family run restaurant in the middle of no where (actually it is at Km.22 on the Ctra. De Mazarron in a very small village called Los Ventorrillos . The menu is not limited to just paella there is also a men del dia but their paella, cooked over wood burning fires are a delight and well worth the visit. Ring a day before you come them to order anything other than the regular chicken paella. Their specialty of rabbit and snail paella needs an hours worth of cooking! Then turn up 30 minutes earlier than you've booked for to enjoy a starter lovely fresh salads and squid Romana are well worth trying. Definitely a lunch time place, when they do a fabulous job of keeping the local families and workers from the fields well nourished!
This restaurant is extremely busy during the week, a large spanish clientele for menu del dia. Also possible to eat a la carte and their speciality is rice with snails. Weekends especially Sunday get very busy and it is essential to book.
A very good family run restaurant offering excellent menu del dia Monday to Friday. The restaurant is especially busy on Sunday lunch time with all meats cooked on wood burning stoves. The house speciality is arroz con caracoles, rice with snails. The restaurant opens early for breakfast around 6.30 and closes after the lunch service around 4.30. The menu del dia service can be a little fast but they will slow down if you ask them.
