Bidrage med feedbackAt first, as I sat at the counter sipping my ice water—which I quickly came to regret—I noticed an employee using her bare hands to scoop ice from the bucket. Shortly after, I saw one of the cooks working under the ventilation fans without a hairnet, and hair was flying around. I don't think I'll be coming back.
I just had a double cheeseburger, and it was fantastic! It was truly incredible, especially with the tater tots on the side.
The best food in town! It’s not gourmet, but you can count on delicious home-cooked meals with friendly and prompt service. They serve breakfast all day—make sure to try the corned beef hash!
What a fantastic local diner! I visited for a work lunch, and it was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere really captures the charm of a classic diner from the 1950s—if only they had those delicious pies in a glass display on the counter! I ordered the special of the day: country fried steak, mashed potatoes, and a salad (I was too hungry to remember to take a photo!). The food was served quickly and was very tasty. Our server was a lovely older lady who made us feel welcome. I would definitely recommend this spot!
Helen ordered a fish sandwich with fries. The tomato had an overpowering taste, and while the fries were decent, she found it peculiar that they served a dinner roll alongside a sandwich and fries—didn’t that create a starch overload? I chose the broasted half-chicken dinner, which came with a dinner roll, broasted potatoes, and coleslaw. The coleslaw was overly sweet for my liking, but the potatoes were excellent. Unfortunately, the chicken was excessively crispy, likely due to being pre-cooked in a warming oven, resulting in very dry meat that could even be described as burnt. This restaurant may have once deserved its five-star status, but the meal we had on September 8th, 2018, certainly did not live up to that standard. I wouldn’t even give it a three-star rating.
