Casarena Plage - Algajola

Excellent beach restaurant with a nice variety menu. Good and friendly service. Great milanese, chicken wraps and chicken burgers. Pokebowls are however not top notch. Tried both chicken and salmon and neither was great.

I have been here many times and never been dissapointed. The menu has both burgers and more sofisticated dishes of fish. Everything is from local suppliers and the wines are always from Corsica. At lunchtime it is recommended to make a reservation but the owners always find you a table if you can wait 10-15 minutes. Try the tartar du Thon (chopped tuna with some tomato, avocado and cucumber) and the fish soup is really good. One small thing to improve is to have a special waiter who only check if the guest wants to order more drinks. It could be a good idea and increase sales and profit. The following is not any criticism to the restaurant but I usually write about this. When I eat in a restaurant even if it's outside I really would like the other guests to refrain from smoking. It's a cultural difference and in Italy, Spain and France it is accepted that people light a cigarette and blow out the smoke on other guests but it is simply rude . I would recommend that restaurants remove the ash trays and let people including small children enjoy their meal without smoke. Some countries have already implemented this and it will eventually be standard practice.

On vacation with my family, we found this lovely beach and restaurant. The service was wonderful, food fresh, and swimming perfect. Not to miss! Patricia Murphy Feltin

If you are not French, don't come here. The good and friendly service we witnessed, is reserved only to them. The bad service is the only thing that comes free of charge in this place. After waiting endlessly to be given the menu which was different from the one exposed outside, we got a board (which you have to wait for until the other customers are done with with . Then we waited, we ordered and thanked the waiter who ignored that. We got the drinks but not the water... We waited again endlessly for our burger (16€ , in the end we received a burger and to our surprise they finally remembered the water. The burger was supposed to be medium but any rarer we would have just been given the raw meet. The cheese used does not even melt.... and the products must have been fresh as they say in their review, but the choice of combination of pesto, bell peppers and whatever else was in te burger was probably not the best. I guessed that it had to compensate for the lack of taste of the meat itself. The fries were really good, however I asked for mayo and salt. Our request was then completely forgotten so I had to stand up and go inside to finally be given the sauces, the salt I had to ask to our neighbors. To pay we eventually decided to go inside, since the waited ignored us, again. We wanted a dessert and we just decided to go somewhere else, this place is not worth anybody's money. Of course not only at the end of the meal we decided not to tip, but we were considering asking them for a discount to compensate the horrible manners that came with the dinner.

Very obliging and accommodating restaurant. Despite not having booked sunbeds they managed to squeeze us in. Food at restaurant was excellent and accommodating to one of our party with a nut allergy. We speak very little French but despite this they were excellent at welcoming and satisfying our needs. Would recommend.....maybe book sunbed and table at restaurant in advance if opportunity allows but even if have not booked definitely worth a try they accommodated us.
