The Star Inn - Alfriston

We had an amazing overnight stay, and it was absolutely wonderful. The dinner was even better than any five-star meal I've had in London, and the staff were incredibly funny, charming, and professional. The rooms were incredibly comfortable (don't forget to bring your own pillows), and the breakfast the next morning was perfect. I can't emphasize enough how much fun we all had. A huge thank you to everyone there! We will definitely be returning frequently in the future.

Zimmerler Pub offers a very comfortable bed. However, we were unsure where to park the car upon arrival—perhaps we missed some information? It would have been helpful to have assistance with our luggage. The food was good, and the evening staff was very hospitable. If they have a fish-sharing plate, make sure to see it before placing your order; it was delicious and enormous! Unfortunately, most local shops are only open from October to March, which was a bit disappointing.

We were a group of seven along with three dogs today, and we felt incredibly welcomed. The service was outstanding, and the food was fantastic. The menu offered a diverse range of interesting options, and everyone enjoyed their meals. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I did this after a long day walking on the south downs way. the staff was welcoming, eating was great, and the ales were excellent delicious. we had also been happy to try the banoffee pie for dessert, which we are happy to try now that we are home from our vacation. a great night.

Good selection of beers/ales/lagers on tap. Friendly staff. Our food was really good and the menu has a surprisingly large selection of vegetarian options (nudged by the vegetarian daughter of the owner, we were told).
