I am amazed at how good this cheese steak was. I lived in Philly for a couple years and I am a big Jim’s steak fan. And I think Richie’s rib eye is just as good. Roll was perfect, meat was high quality and plentiful. It was served hot with just the right amount of provolone and onions and mushrooms. At $14 I thought it was a steal because the quality was very high (unlike many cheese steaks I’ve had in New England. . My girlfriend and I liked it so much we went back the following day. Honestly cannot rave enough about this sandwich. Matt the owner himself made our sandwiches and he really knows what he is doing. When we go back to Biddeford, we will be going back to Richie’s.
We loved our ribeye subs so much we came back again the next day. Perfect seasoning, ratio of cheese/steak/veggies and an awesome roll. The owner Matt shared some of the thoughtful steps he puts in to his product- like the ribeye supplier from Pennsylvania and what he looks for in provolone. It’s a great small business with an ever better steak and cheese.
Food is incredible, tastes just like they make them in Philly. Flavor is great, cheese and meat are fresh. Bread is fresh. Perfect cheesesteak. Customer service is top notch. Definitely going to become a regular spot ! 10/10
As a transplant from Philly, its been hard to find a passable cheese steak up in Maine, but my search ends here. These guys are phenomenal! If you put Richie in center city Philadelphia, they wouldn't just compete, they'd be in the conversation for all time greats along with pats, genos, and Tony Luke's.100% worth a visit.
