Bidrage med feedbackFantastic Lebanese food! I can't go past the kibbeh and the lady fingers every time I go. The atmosphere is beautiful and the main dishes are quite large. They also have a modern Lebanese dessert menu with delicious sweets.
Worst experience I've had. Not only bad service but bad food and rude waiters. Would never eat here again. Wouldn't recommend it and would never eat at their chain
Horrible place, dodgy operators please stay away! Booked a table for 9pax on a saturday for lunch, walked in and told waiter about my booking he didnt care to look it up just started to walk us through to the outdoor area in the front so it would look like they were full, mind you this was a hot day and we had 2 young children with us under the age of 3, plus the place wa virtually empty. I asked if we could sit in one of the empty 10 seater tables but waiter said they were reserved, this was obscene to me as the place had so many empty tables yet he was adamant to sit us outside in the heat. He thought about it then said "ok you can sit in one of the tables as the booking is at 3pm". Now who books 3 tables of 10 not seated next to each other at 3pm? This guy was having us on. Once we were seated i tried not to ruin my mood at lunch so i relaxed a little. We ordered babaganoush and hummus dips and they were delicious. Then the same waiter (which i believe is one of the owners) says he will bring us something special and he will take care of us, we thought "oh what a lovely gesture", it was a small cold dip plate which i would have never ordered but thought it was a nice way of smoothing out the afternoon considering earlier events. He asked us if we liked it and out of politness we said it was ok and we thanked him for it. Mains then arrived and no one was pleased with any of their meals, chicken was dry, salads looked sad and at the verge of being off and you can tell everyone was keeping tight lipped about how displeased they were with their meal. I mean how could you go wrong with chicken? After eating mains we chose not to order dessert and asked for the bill. Mind you it was 3.15pm and still so sign of these 3 different groups who had booked these tables, in fact only 1 couple had come into the restaurant after us the whole time we were there so yes it was still pretty empty. Now when we got the bill the waiter had charged us for the small dip plate we never asked for. He then said that because we liked it he charged us, is he insane? We were just being polite, what did he want us to say, no it wasnt to our liking? After 5min of refusing to pay for it he finally removed it but after such a horrible experience telling him that he had over charged for some of our beverages it seemed like another argument about to brew so we just wanted to get out of there quick smart and pay the extra $5 and vow to let everyone know of our horrible experience at a place owned by dodgy operators. You are better off waiting for an hour at the grounds across the road and have an amazing experience and value for money than come to Al Aseel alexandria, worst experience ever for me.

Its heavy food but has a place. The new dining room for Al Aseel at Alexandria is giant. After visiting early after relocation, its now good to see the entrance has been moved to somewhere logical - as upon first visit it was confusing to just get my foot in the place. Now closer, Al Aseel is one of my regular takeaways. I usually get their Mixed Plate on takeaway ($27) and the quality is really there for your money. There is so much pickle, and overall the plate could easily sate two. crumbs-au.com
