Sunday In Saigon - Alexandria

The chicken broth may be the best I ever had in the DC area. we're good too. they usually use compostable and recyclable removal containers and utensils that is a big plus!

I love Vietnamese food and was super impressed with this restaurant in Alexandria. Food is excellent, with generous portions. Very interesting flavors and presentation. The Decor is one of a kind and might even rank is my all-time best decorated Vietnamese restaurant in the DC region. We had the papaya tofu salad, which came with three crispy shrimp crackers. Sublime. Also my wife and I ordered the vegetarian noodle Pho. Unlike so many Vietnamese restaurants, The portion was hearty and there was plenty of bean sprouts and basil to go into the soup. Overall, I was very impressed and I look forward to coming back soon.

Located on the ground floor right across from Trader Joe's. Go in the door, turn right, and walk past the ice cream bubble tea shop to be seated. It looks a bit dark even when it's open. There's no hostess out front so be patient and someone will be by to seat you. For pick up, go straight to the back near the window. Service was friendly, but a bit slow. Food overall was very good. Big flavors and a nice atmosphere. Definitely worth trying this place.

A few years ago this place was recommended to us by our Vietnamese friend and we remembered that it is very good. we haven't been here since. last weekend we decided to pay a visit as we were looking for Vietnamese diners. the place and the eating were changed a lot. start with the restaurant, there has now a coffee shop in the front section and they must go to the coffee shop to get into the place. that was quite confusing for us and it took us one to find out. By the way, there is a time note on the restaurant window, but we did not pay attention to how we thought everything was the same. once in the restaurant the waiters were nice and really accepted us and our baby. to order the food, they must scan the barcode on the table and place their order on the website. the payment and the tipp were also required at the end of the process to complete our orders. that was what I think it's really cool because this would limit personal contact with the waiters. Eat: they were completely over the last time we came here. they were well presented, but lack of taste and barely meat. very disappointed! they were also a bit expensive compared to other Vietnamese sites. Moreover, they forgot a command and took them back and forth between the computer and the kitchen to know what was missing. overall this place is not particularly good on eating. I think the dinge have changed due to covid and the business has adapted to the situation. However, they were able to obtain the quality taste of the food. if eating well, this could compensate others and I would give this place for a more than three star rating.
