Ramparts - Alexandria

Yesterday, my mom and I went to this restaurant while waiting for our car to be serviced. Unfortunately, the nachos we ordered had very little cheese and pulled pork, and they were quite bland. The cheese tasted artificial. I ordered a burger cooked medium well, but it came out medium rare with blood dripping when I cut into it. I had to send it back and when it was returned, it was overcooked and had a strange gravy on it that wasn't there before. My mom, however, enjoyed her meal.

I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with Carolina sauce, chicken penne, and half rack of ribs at the restaurant. I chose the ribs as a backup plan in case the other dishes were not good. However, the sauce on the pork tasted more like spaghetti sauce than Carolina BBQ sauce. The pasta dish was reminiscent of chicken noodle soup. The ribs were of poor quality and the fries that came with them were cold, soggy, and greasy. Despite being hungry and spending $65 on our meal, we were still dissatisfied and would not eat it. Overall, we were very disappointed with our dining experience.

We enjoyed this place. We stopped here for drinks. We had a beer and hot ciders. They were good. We decided to get some food. We added a burger, fries, chili, and a salad. All were good. Service was great. Prices were reasonable. I would recommend this place.

I was so incredibly disappointed with my experience. Walking in, the facilities we entered the bar side, and were not greeted, walked through the entire restaurant lost, until we found the other entrance. The greeter was new and nice enough. However, I didn't feel comfortable even sitting my phone down on the table it was so sticky. The waitress was nice and friendly, but so friendly that she wasn't cognizant of personal space nor how far she leaned down over the the

I go there regularly. Usually for lunch but other times as well. The food is consistently good and the price is right. The soups are always a great start! Linda, the daytime bartender is a joy. She's been there forever and always cheerful! Stop in for lunch and tell her that you read my review!
