Matsui Japanese Sushi Ramen

Staff are warm and welcoming, service is quick with great presentation. The cuts are delicious, some of the best sushi we've found! Has become our new favorite spot! We also love trying their specials! Lots of great quality food and pretty good price! We recommend it to all our friends!

We enjoyed our food. The sushi was our favorite. The ramen broth needed more flavor, it was pretty weak for me. My husband had the miso and I think I had the shoyu ramen. I added some dashi, sesame oil and tamari to mine when I got home. OH! BEST THING IN MY RAMEN THAT I'LL GO BACK FOR WAS THE RAMEN EGG????????????????! ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!

We had dinner at Matsui for the first time and I was wowed by how great the sushi is here. I didn't know what to order, so I opted for the sushi dinner, which was a mix of different nigiri. Everything was excellent, especially the hamachi, salmon, ikura, and tuna. In fact, I am usually not thrilled with tuna unless it is blue fin, or toro, but the tuna here was super fresh and a splendid cut that was simply delicious. I noticed the table beside me order the sushi boat, which I was very intrigued by and even tempted to invite some friends to next time just so we could order it. The service was very friendly and I loved the fact that the restaurant seemed to be busy with many locals and regulars who know exactly what's best to order. We will definitely be coming back soon, and I hope to try the sushi boat next time!

The food, as always, tasted great. Chirashi bowl is pricey for the quantity but the sushi quality is good. However... it is off-putting to be relegated to sit at the bar just because I'm solo. Four open tables and the only one offered to me is 6 inches from a loud group. I get that at a small place they want to save the tables for multiple person groups, but when there aren't any other customers, and there are multiple tables open, there should be some flexibility.

Love this local Japanese restaurant. The staff are very friendly, hardworking, and appreciative of your patronage. The Chirashi Don is one of my favorites. Although the price increased, it's still my go to dish here. The gyoza are a fan favorite for my kids along with their bowl of shoyu ramen for $14. Add a soft shell crab roll and we have a hearty dinner for 4! Kid-friendliness: My kids love their gyoza! Parking: There's usually parking in front if you can wait out the parents picking up their kids from daycare or martial arts.
