Kingstowne Farmers' Market - Alexandria

There's never many vendors but there's fresh produce. Just high prices. The 4 stars on this review belong solely to the kettle corn people. I miss you. Come back to me.

We went on a Friday in July and there were about 10 vendors as well as the market information station and a compost drop off. Everyone was very nice, a good if small selection of local produce and artisan goods. We recommend the blackberry sorbet from the lady who sells empanadas and juice and sorbet.

I love the evening start. Great baker, three good produce sellers, a friendly pushed meat guy., and the usual addendum.

Good opportunity for very fresh foods. The 4pm start time is a good variation from the other markets. All vendors I used took credit cards and had bright, fresh displays.

It was an exceptionally hot day today, but they served some delightful fresh fruit, bread, and jerk chicken. The chicken had a fantastic aroma and an even better flavor. We rushed through our meal, yet we still ended up spending quite a bit.
