Bidrage med feedbackThe ambiance at this Mexican restaurant set in a 1970s chop shop is cool and unique, but the food and drinks didn't quite meet our expectations. The guacamole and yuca fritters were good, but the tacos were not very memorable, especially considering the limited Mexican food options in DC. Despite this, we continue to visit because of the interesting setting, though we usually just stick to the average margaritas.
The food was average, but the atmosphere was fantastic. The side of pineapples was disappointing as they seemed to be canned. The chicken taco had an odd flavor, resembling warm canned tuna. The chips and salsa were nothing special, similar to off-brand tortilla chips, with a salsa that lacked much flavor. The margarita scored a 5.5 out of 10.
I visited this restaurant for the first time and was impressed with their setup which included a walk-up counter, a bar, and indoor and outdoor seating. The staff member who took my order was very friendly. I ordered a brisket taco and street corn on the cob, and was informed it would take about 4 minutes, which was accurate. The food arrived nice and hot, and tasted fresh. The brisket was cooked to perfection and seasoned well, paired with the soft corn tortilla and toppings it was delicious. The street corn was also delicious. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.
What happened to this place? This review is based on a visit several weeks ago. This restaurant was our go-to during the pandemic. The staff was friendly, engaging, and the food was incredible. Unfortunately it?s gone severely downhill the last several months, not sure if it changed hands? The super friendly waiters and bartenders we were used to are no longer there, you place your order via the app then some random person just comes and drops food at your table. No ?welcome
Oderes delivery. Food options limited. Tacos were alright. Not bad, but I don 't imagine I 'll crave here. I purchased a Mexican sprite only to have delivered a $3 regular can of sprite. Honestly the can of sprite being called Mexican sprite makes the angriest. I was hyped up to try it.Also, I feel like they 're chips and salsa should be considered a side. Portion-wise it is not a small meal
