Essencia Cafe - Alcoutim

Lovely setting just back from the long beach setting. We arrived at 12 and wondered “ should we/ shouldn’t we “ as the place was empty. By 1 no tables left so we had made a good choice- we had enjoyed a fabulous light lunch- 3 fishy starters to make up our own little tapas table with a 5 euro flute of champagne!! Perfect in every way Waitress so engaging and helpful, prompt service and high quality meal

2 tasty salads, 2 small beers followed by 2 white coffees and all for less than €20. Bargain. If I’m in the area again I’d definitely return.

Had a late breakfast of coffee and toasted sandwiches. Everything was pretty good, well priced and quick service, just what we needed.

This is a firm favourite of ours and we’ve visited many times over the years. It has a good selection of different tapas type dishes and the gazpacho is ace! It also sells local craft beers, great pastries and good coffee. And it’s friendly and relaxed.

Serving Portuguese, international and vegetarian dishes this is a very popular restaurant with locals and tourist alike. There is ample outside seating to sit and watch the world go by. Prices are very reasonable hence the popularity with the locals.
