Bidrage med feedbackThe customer service and management at this restaurant were disgraceful. We had booked a family Xmas lunch and arrived at 11:30 to find a table set with Xmas crackers. We ordered drinks at bar prices, which seemed unreasonable. After waiting for 2 hours, we still hadn't been served any food, not even bread. When the meals were finally ready, we had to wait in line at the buffet for 15 minutes along with 30 other guests. The entree selection consisted of olives and a slice of cold ham, with the promise that more was on the way. The main buffet had a mix of Christmas dishes and cold party pies. Trying to juggle two plates on limited table space was frustrating. Some guests didn't even bother eating the lukewarm food. Dessert options were limited due to running out of items. When asked about our experience upon leaving, we replied with a firm "NEVER AGAIN".
We had a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and it was a delight to sit on the deck and take in the beautiful views.
I was disappointed to find that the restaurant only offered a small view of the lake through the large trees. The atmosphere was lacking, despite the refurbishment, and the decor was underwhelming. The Sunday night menu looked impressive, but the meals were lacking in flavor and the wow factor. While it may cater well to resort holidaymakers, it still has some work to do to compete with restaurants in Albury/Wodonga. Keep working on it.
We just happened to be staying the night this restaurant opened with their new look, new chef and new menu. Right from the start we felt welcome with attentive and gracious wait staff, prompt service and good explanations about the new menu and wines on offer.The views would be lovely during the daytime down to Lake Hume however the room was ambient at night with candles on tables and a lovely open fire in the corner. The chef and staff were trialing a new set menu that had three courses and accompanying wines to go with each course. With wines it was a very good price and if you don't drink wines then other drinks were available.What we chose was excellent for all three courses including squid with chorizo sausage, tender steak, salmon and desserts that barely had time to stay on the plate! Of course it was the wait staff that really made or night with just enough attention to make sure we were satisfied with our evening. Congratulations to the chef and restaurant staff for a delightful dinner. We will be back again in the future and can recommend the current choices.Enjoy your experience here!
