Try their eye fillet steak but with the red wine sauce instead. Absolutely 10/10. Espresso martini was also tasty.

I had the good old parmi. The wife had lamb shanks. 2 great meals

My husband and I stayed at the Atura Motel for a weekend and we dined on the Saturday night at the Roadhouse Bar & Grill onsite. The menu wasn't huge but the food was very good, the Popcorn Prawns and the Burger were favourites for us. The staff were very professional and friendly, especially Lauren and Alana. Would certainly eat here again as we enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.

I was very disappointed when I checked about ingredients used in food served at this bar/cafe. The wait staff were obliging and went to check with the chef about the use of MSG and flavour enhancers. Their saving grace was their honesty as the message came back that most of the food was 'brought in' from outside so no guarantee as to what additives could be in the food. Options were, I could order steak, salmon or perhaps the gnocchi may be alright. I went with the gnocchi option which was not good. The pasta was doughy, heavy and rubbery, not what good gnocchi should be. Obviously not freshly made! I made my views about the meal known and the wait staff said they would let the chef know but they basically shrugged their shoulders and said, ah well, it is what it is, too bad, so sad!!

There isn't a huge menu but the food is good. Staff are very professional and friendly. Strangely, the burger is so-so when other things on the menu like the popcorn shrimp and calamari are very good. The chicken parma is quite respectable. Not a busy place so easy to secure a table. Worth a visit.
