Bidrage med feedbackMy favorite Thai restaurant in Albuquerque! I always come here when I’ve had a rough day because the friendly staff and amazing food never disappoint. I'm a big fan of the pad see ew, but I've also tried several other dishes, and they’re all fantastic! The new management has really enhanced the food quality; it's fresher and the portion sizes are larger. Highly recommend!
I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The food was dry and lacked flavor. The egg rolls were burnt on the outside and still frozen in the center. This place used to be great, but it seems to have changed hands, and the new owner doesn't know how to prepare Thai food properly. We ordered pad Thai for a guest, but he only managed to take a few bites before leaving the entire plate untouched, pretending he had eaten earlier. It feels like we wasted $80.
Great service and food is amazing. I would definitely recommend. I ordered the Yellow Curry Chicken. You can choose the amount of heat you want from mild to Thai. I went with that, I saved the Thai host for another day. The noodles are also a great option. They have angel hair, egg noodles and rice noodles. The options are endless from Pad Thai and beyond.
When they brought out the replacement, I took a bite of the tofu and the curry with the noodles. I asked my mother to taste it, and she remarked that it had a fishy flavor. She suggested that they had probably just removed the shrimp and replaced them with tofu in the same dish. At that point, I couldn’t continue eating it. I informed the waitress that it tasted delicious, which led her to take my plate back and assure me that they would prepare another. I was relieved, but after deciding to pay, we waited for another 30 minutes to receive my new dish. The first time they made a whole new order for me at the table, it only took 3 to 5 minutes. The staff apologized repeatedly, and I could tell they were worried since I had already eaten some of the food and I was allergic to shellfish. When we got home, I opened the containers to let the curry cool before putting them in the fridge. To my surprise, there was no tofu, the egg noodles were soggy, and the limes looked old, as if they had been sitting in a container for a week. I decided to call the restaurant to request a refund for that dish. We had spent over $80 for lunch and left a $15 tip, and while they claimed the second dish was on the house, I felt I was being charged for something that wasn't prepared correctly. It could have turned into a serious situation if I had eaten more of the dish.
As of 8/5/22 under new management. Portions have shrunk. Pad Thai is dry and remarkably flavorless. Same goes for #87 in terms of flavor. Fried veggie rolls were burnt too. What happened to quality control? Did Europeans take this place over?
