Having bumped into a couple of German visitors, this hidden gem was recommended to us. THANK GOODNESS!! One of the tastiest, freshest meals we have eaten. Lovely warm welcome and although we don’t speak Portuguese there were no barriers. Choosing lunch from the catches of the day, we had spider crab and mackerel. Both perfectly cooked and by far the most delicious we’ve ever tasted. If this hadn’t been recommended we would have driven by and not noticed the “snack bar” sign which doesn’t do it justice. This lovely restaurant was packed with locals which is always a good sign and we were not disappointed. We will come back just to have another delicious meal here. Find a flight, find this place and enjoy!

As said in a previous review, simplicity prevails, and in a good way. We were a party of 6 adults, 2 children and a baby. We had a great meal with the best fish since arriving here. One of our group had the fillet steak and said it was pretty good too. The salad complimented the fish perfectly and the wine was reasonably priced as well as good. Thanks to the staff who, despite the language barrier, treated us very well. Considering O Victor is a “snack bar”, it is darned good!
