Le republique - Albertville

Very good, friendly restaurant and well thought out interesting menu. Good location in town and traditional but quirky decor. An imaginative chef who knows how to create a useful menu for him and a tasty selection for the diners very skillful. Harmonious, well thought...out food.

Visited the restaurant during a rainy day. The restaurant staff was very friendly and the food very good. I ordered the hamburger with salmon and tuna excellent!!

Always nice to turn up to a restaurant and made to feel welcome. Sadly this didn't happen at Le Republique. Barked at repeatedly by the maitre d' who seemed genuinely insulted that we wanted to spend money in his establishment. Drinks orders were taken, none...arrived. Food was ok. I suspect that if I was French I would have been greeted by the staff like an old friend, sadly being English I was treat like the dirty dog that I am.

We had drinks and an early dinner, they start serving at The bartender was great, knows how to mix drinks. I had the ravioli pizza, which was less than impressive. Overall a really nice place with long tables great for families or you could...enjoy the bar area. Next time I would chose another dinner item.

We went there for dinner, following the positive comments of this site, and we did not regret it. On the contrary very warm welcome, delicious meals, a quiet room, and a report quality price really top !in short a successful exit ! !
