Renaissance Albany

Between NCAA Regional Hockey games we tried for lunch. Wellington's hike is worthwhile during a mountain hike. A very creamy and delicious carrot soup facilitated our cold. Her Capitol Burger was large and cooked to order medium. The smoked onion Mayo was a pleasant change from the usual ketchup. A touch of nicely cooked frits ended the classic combo. The slightly dressed “W” Caesar was a bunch of Romaine, Radicchio, Parmesan wars and roasted garlic crabs. The show stopper was her rich pecan caramel fudge coated NY style cheesecake. My bourbon and honey loaded Mighty Leaf black tea played well with dessert and finished an excellent lunch.

Oh, my God, this place was so good! All we ordered was incredible. The Cubano Mac n cheese was so tasteful with crushed pimples on the top. If I had only one meal left in my life for dinner, it would be. Then we got the Cod and Shrimp and it was amazing. The sauce really turned her off. We buried it so fast that I only had a picture of it halfway. We loved the atmosphere and the decor. It was a great place to bring my mother.

Yass! A cold winter night and a fabulous dinner. Perfectly cooked ribeye and server advice to a tasteful powowcod.... yup!!!

I liked it. Good breakfast food and service. My only complaint is how good the service was at breakfast time. Relaxed pace, no pressure, good check-in conversation... Perfect for dinner...maybe not so much for eating breakfast before getting to morning meetings. Lol, no stars lost for that though. I guess I could have said something, but I just added more time. A relaxed breakfast is nice.

I was traveling for business and had pretty much every meal here. It was really good. I loved the cod with shrimp and v the filet had great flavor. Also loved the caesar salad. Good stuff!
